What we do to provide a clean, safe environment for our builders.

Cleanliness is always our top priority, so we wanted to share our routines with you and offer some tips for cleaning LEGO at home.

Not just Clean, Non-Toxic, too

From the beginning, Rogue Brick has been dedicated to natural, non-toxic cleaners. We use doTERRA's On Guard Cleaner Concentrate throughout the store, Grove Collaborative hand sanitizers, and vinegar to wash LEGO for the building space.

The LEGO Journey to our Buildspace

You may have noticed tub after tub of LEGO throughout our store; stashed above, below, and around every corner. We have so much bulk LEGO at our store that it allows us to cycle through parts on the building tables, keeping clean LEGO out and ready to use.

How We Keep Our Buildspace Clean.

Our wonderful employees are always on top of any messes. Here are some policies we have in place to maintain a clean, healthy, and non-toxic environment.

  • LEGO is going to fall on the floor but it's not going to go back on the table. Any LEGO found on the floor, or otherwise contaminated, is swept up into a bin to go back to the wash.

  • Each week LEGO is removed from the end tables to store away. As we clear the tables we vacuum, spray, and wipe down the tables themselves before more LEGO moves in. This is how we keep a steady waterfall of clean bricks moving down the tables.

  • Our LEGO comes from all over, but always passes through the wash. Tubs of LEGO are put into laundry bags and run through our modified washer with vinegar. The vinegar disinfects, deodorizes, and de-greases the bricks without leaving toxic residue. The bags then hang dry in the back before being sorted on to the building tables.

  • Concrete floors get frequent mopping. We love our concrete floors because we can easily clean up the LEGO that falls and vacuum/mop weekly using doTERRA concentrate.

  • Food and LEGO don't mix. We're not only cautious about kiddos putting LEGO in their mouths, but we also keep eating away from the building tables to keep them clean.

  • Spot cleaning with On Guard spray, always at hand. Whether it's a sneeze, a nose that got to close to the glass cases, or just routine maintenance, we are ready to spray down any area and pull whatever parts we think need more cleaning. Building tables and DUPLO mats are sprayed down each night to be ready for another day of building

  • Hand sanitizer at the ready and non-toxic. We're proud to offer Grove Collaborative hand sanitizer spray and pump bottles throughout the store, buildspace, and party room.

  • Bathrooms are cleaned nightly and spot checked throughout the day. The specific hand soaps vary, but they're always non-toxic and safe.

  • Clean parties are happy parties. Every surface of our party space is swept, sprayed, and wiped down to disinfect the space between parties.

We want to stay connected with you about our cleaning procedures and answer any questions you might have. Feel free to email Ryan and Rachel at build@roguebrick.com
